XYZ WORLD - DESIGN STUDIO
For generations, women have been shaking the chairs of old white men. While in the 60s, the main form of protest was on the streets, the following generations XYZ also took to social media to air their grievances. Activists like Greta Thunberg are setting a global movement in motion that is the first to threaten to terminate the intergenerational contract. Under #metoo #blm #metwo or #queerness, fighters for social justice around the world are showing their solidarity.
But what could buildings look like for them?
The task of the KE is to take a detailed look at the life and work of a well-known personality from the fields of science, activism, literature, culture or business who, in addition to their general popularity, is characterised by social commitment or plays a pioneering role in their respective profession. A tailor-made spatial programme is developed as the basis for an individual house, based on a creative engagement with the characteristic traits and individual needs of the selected persons. Collages, storyboards, spatial diagrams, illustrations, pictograms and thematic models serve as research and communication tools.
